Introduction
These live tables contain data derived from quarterly returns and the first annual forecast figures from local authorities. The tables present the latest available summary or detailed data relating to these inquiries.The tables contain essential data supplied to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and HM Treasury. The data are used in compiling the National Accounts and the Public Sector Finances. The tables are updated as soon as new or revised data become available (hence the word "live" is used).
Tables and detailed notes and definitions are grouped and can be found by area. The contents of our flagship publication Local Government Financial Statistics provide annual estimates consistent with the quarterly estimates published here.
Please note that the live tables do not include all of the data items we collect. All other topic based information such as statistical releases and reports can be found from the Local Government Finance statistics homepage. This also includes links to other Communities and Local Government and external sources of statistical information.
